5 Reasons Video Marketing Should be a Part of your Advertising Platform

Video Marketing has revolutionized the way we observe content on the Internet. With all these video sharing sites like You Tube, Grouper and Revver developing cloned sites daily, it’s no wonder people would rather view video than written content. Why blame them? When watching a video you don’t need much focus as you do to read text. Reading takes understanding and concentration.

Here are five reasons why you should utilize video to drive more traffic to your websites, products and services. While there are many reasons to use online video in your marketing and traffic building efforts, take a look at it from a different perspective. Look at the video sharing site traffic and search engine optimization (SEO) point of view.

1. Internet video sites are more likely viewed as an authority in Google. Google was the top US streaming video property in March, with 57.4 million unique people streaming. YouTube.com drove the lion’s share of the video streaming activity at the Google Sites property, with 53.5 million unique streamers and 1.1 billion streams initiated. Sites such as You Tube have a respective Google page rank of 8. With this much importance and high page rank, it makes sense to advertise your videos on sites such as this one, giving you a enhanced shot at a elevated search engine result.

2. In You Tube’s case, its current ranking on Alexa is the fourth most frequented site on the Internet. The traffic alone within You Tube is enough to change your growth period of any website. You can accurately have a brand new website receiving enormous amounts of traffic just minutes after you upload a video with a link back to your site.

3. People enjoy the idea of seeing whom they are dealing with. Whether you are a marketer or just a Webmaster, statistics show that video and a more personable appearance can dramatically increase conversions.

4. With the introduction of the Universal Search by Google, the number of videos becoming indexed and ranked is climbing. Google aims to provide more comprehensive searching and informative viewing experiences for its search engine users, and videos with optimized titles show up in free search engine ranking pages every day.

5. Videos can be uploaded to Social Bookmarking and media sites such as Associated Content, Digg, and Stumble upon. With the amount of daily traffic these sites bring, you can turn an unknown website into a cash making machine in days.

These are a few reasons to choose video marketing as an advertising platform. With the steady rise of blogging and social media, the way people view online information has changed. Pictures and videos have paved the way people interpret websites and the material they’re searching for.

With such a dramatic increase in conversions that this new market provides, it’s an intelligent decision and can effortlessly fit into your budget.

The Secret to Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur

Success is no big secret other than to work hard and create a solid plan.  Many entrepreneurs dive in the deep end without any thought.  They shop for an office.  Purchase the stationary and business cards. But they haven’t created the basic plan.  First, develop a way to sell your product or service.  You really don’t need an office yet.  You need to build a presence first.  Get a virtual web office to begin with.  You can build from that.

Utilizing a Virtual Assistant

As a small business owner, outsourcing work to Virtual Assistants is fast becoming a popular and intelligent decision. The business owner saves enormous amounts of money by cutting the costs of offices and equipment overhead as well as expensive benefits packages. The ‘Virtual Office’ creates an enormous amount of personal freedom and independence for both the small business owner and the virtual workers. The dedication and commitment that virtual workers demonstrate testifies to the satisfaction derived from a home office setting.

Being on the cutting edge of this profession offers tremendous opportunity for technical savvy entrepreneurs to secure a viable and stable home business opportunity. A good business plan and well thought out marketing campaigns are crucial to the organized success of a Virtual Assistant in both securing enough clients and/or work to meet their budget goal as well as adequately being able to balance clients and deadlines.

Virtual Assistant’s actually would be well advised to embrace a business partner or utilize a team of trusted colleagues to entrust overflow work to. The standards of a good Virtual Assistant aren’t easily met and establishing a virtual network of quality workers isn’t an easy task. Any overflow work that you outsource must exemplify the same care and quality as your own or you stand the chance of alienating your clients.

As the owner of a home business resource specifically geared toward professional mothers seeking home based work, I am often approached for advice on how to become a Virtual Assistant and also receive many inquiries about what skills are required to be successful in the field.

To gain and retain clients, my main advice is to maintain your professionalism in all of your interactions with your client. As much as it is a leap for you to give up the ‘security’ of working in a corporate office, it is also a very new concept for business owners to outsource their work to a team of ‘Virtual Workers’ who they may likely never even see face-to-face. There is a great level of trust employed in this relationship and your professionalism in correspondence and phone calls will go a long way in securing their trust.

Furthermore, I advise you to pay great attention to your accuracy and final product that you submit to your clients. Meet all of your deadlines, and know at least two days ahead of time if you are not going to be able to meet them. Communicate that to your client before the project is late and keep in communication on a daily basis from the beginning to the end of all projects with brief status reports.

Interview with a Genie

Recently, I was granted a phone interview with Mr. Schimeon Frederick, CEO of My Business Genie, and a rising star among outsourcing companies, based in Nevada.  My Business Genie has skyrocketed to fame and been able to acquire some lucrative contracts during the last year.  With this recession, Mr. Frederick explains that “everyday small businesses are finding that My Business Genie is the answer to their troubles.”

Q. WHAT ARE THE TOP OUTSOURCING SERVICES REQUESTED BY YOUR COMPANY?

Our most popular service is our Business Genies. Since Genies can handle such a large array of services at an affordable price, customers are realizing tremendous value in them and referring colleagues.

Q. WHAT SETS MY BUSINESS GENIE APART FROM OTHER OUTSOURCING COMPANIES?

My Business Genie is unique in the fact that we can handle just about any aspect of back office support at an affordable price. We don’t just have the human resources portion of the back office we also have much of the technology side of the back office covered as well. We provide prompt professional products and services at an extremely affordable price. Not to mention that we are dedicated to educating people about proper outsourcing standard and guidelines, because we feel that the more educated a customer is regarding outsourcing the better choice in an outsourcing partner they can make.

Q. CAN YOU GIVE A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF HOW OUTSOURCING HAS CHANGED OVER THE YEARS?

For years outsourcing was reserved for large corporations with the money and resources to invest in outsourcing. With the boom of technology we have been able to do business globally with the same ease as if our partners or employees were next door. Outsourcing and off shoring is a fairly new concept to the small business owner/operator however they are beginning to utilize outsourced and offshore resources. Some of the challenges that they are having is finding an outsourcing partner that they can trust that will provide them quality professional service at an affordable price.

Q. HOW MANY PEOPLE WORK FOR YOU AND WHERE ARE THEY FROM?

Since it’s inception My Business Genie has grown tremendously, from just a couple of people working out of my house to having an east coast and west coast presence, as well as two call centers in the Philippines with plans to expand to a 3rd there and one in Costa Rica.

Q. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE CHALLENGES IN RUNNING A MULTI-NATIONAL COMPANY?

The biggest challenge for us has been building the infrastructure and developing the policies and procedures that will protect the customers interest and ensure that each customer receives the same high quality service on a consistent basis.

Q. IN WHAT CATEGORIES ARE YOUR BIGGEST CUSTOMERS?

We service a wide range of clients including realtors, education professionals, doctors, and this list continues to grow, however, our biggest customers are entrepreneurs. We find that entrepreneurs are extremely adept at servicing their clients with whatever product or service they offer, but usually fall short with quality back office support. To run a full time back office takes many skilled workers, hours of procedural structure, time and money. Many entrepreneurs would rather outsource these functions to a vendor that they trust for a fraction of the time and expense of running the functions in house. This adds money to their bottom line as well as allows them to do what they do best which is develop and promote their products and services.

Q. WITH THIS LOOMING RECESSION, HAS BUSINESS PICKED UP?

With the current financial state of this country we have found that more and more small business owners are seeking alternative solutions to cut operating expenses without suffering a degradation in the quality of service that their customers are accustom to receiving. As well as staying competitive in regards to price with their larger competitors. Entrepreneurs and business owners see the value in our services since they can get work done on an ad hoc basis, or take advantage of our affordable rates for quality human resources. This is where they see the real power of the Genie.  It’s because we are extremely flexible with our terms of service where it isn’t mandatory that they have a long term contract. Customers can choose to just fund their account and just pay what they use.

Q. WHAT ARE THE MAJOR BENEFITS OF OUTSOURCING FOR SMALL BUSINESSES?

There is a long list of benefits to small businesses to outsource some services. One they don’t have to pay payroll taxes or other fringe benefits like health insurance or 401k. They don’t have to concern themselves with redundancy of processes and procedures to ensure that there is no gap in service if someone becomes ill or goes on vacation, and most of all they can use their free time working on the items that ultimately make them more money, or spend more time with their loved ones. We help people remember the reason they started a business in the first place.

Q. OUTSOURCING CAN BE ADVANTAGEOUS TO SMALL BUSINESSES BUT HOW CAN THE HOME BASED WORKER ALSO BENEFIT FROM THIS?

This is the perfect solution for the home based business. When you hire employees with a home based business you have to invite these people to your home which most times disrupt the flow of the household. It also restricts your movements if you don’t trust to leave this person in your home while you run errands or go do sales. Most of all, a true business should be able to operate even if you aren’t present from day to day.

Q. DO COMPANIES NEED IN-HOUSE WORKERS OR CAN WE LIVE IN A COMPLETELY VIRTUAL SOCIETY?

That’s a great question. Although I would say that I’m the biggest fan of living in a virtual society, but I would say that right now there are many businesses that will need to always have in house workers, however on the other hand I don’t think that there is any business that can’t benefit from outsourcing in one way or another.

I wrapped up this interview with hopes of further discussions with the other executives of My Business Genie.  Ms. Shereese M. Henderson, the VP of Customer Service and Business Intelligence, who heads up the northeast division of My Business Genie, was not available at the time of this interview however, will grant me a future meeting to give me insight into running a multi-national call center.

Outsourcing 101

Outsourcing 101 — the practice of utilizing external firms to process work generally performed within a company. In the 80’s small companies typically outsourced their payroll processing, accounting, distribution and other small important functions because they had no other choice. Lower overhead has always been a focus. And large companies followed suit.  Today, those same companies are outsourcing every function that can be performed in-house.

Many companies turn to outsourcing to cut costs. In response, entire industries have evolved to serve companies’ outsourcing needs.  But not many businesses thoroughly recognize the benefits of outsourcing.  Yes, outsourcing can save money, but that’s not the lone reason to do it.

Control Assets Costs. Financial prudence may not be the only reason to outsource, but it’s certainly a major factor. Outsourcing can release capital for investment to a different place in your business, and allows you to steer clear of big expenditures. Outsourcing can also make your company attractive to investors, since you’re able to drive more capital into revenue-producing activities.

Increase Efficiency. Companies that handle all business functions themselves have higher expenses, all of which must be passed along to customers. An outsourced cost structure can give your company a competitive advantage.

Reduce Labor Costs. Hiring and instructing staff for short-term or long-term projects can become very expensive.  People often think in-house temp workers save money when in fact; your output is still more expensive than a virtual work partner.  You still account for expenses such as utilities, space and pay a premium for having a temp employee produce the same work a virtual work partner could perform – at a lower price. Outsourcing lets you focus your staffing where you need them most – when you need them most.

Start New Projects Quickly.  An exceptional outsourcing firm has the resources to begin your project right away. That same project in-house could involve taking weeks or months to search for, interview and hire the right people, train them, and get them started.  And, let’s not forget the additional expense to house your staff while working on your projects.

Focus on your Foundation. Every business has some degree of limited resources, and every administrator has limited time and attention. Outsourcing prepares your business to modify its focus from nonessential activities toward work that serves the customer, and it can help executives set their priorities more clearly.

Level the Playing Field.  Most small companies cannot afford the equivalent in-house support that larger companies retain. Outsourcing can help small companies act “large” by providing access to the same economies and proficiency that large companies have the benefit of.

Reduce risk. Every business investment carries a certain amount of risk. Markets, competition, government regulations, financial conditions, and technologies all change very quickly. Outsourcing providers assume and manage this risk for you, and they generally are much better at deciding how to avoid risk in their areas of expertise.

How Small Businesses Thrive during a Recession

How can small businesses thrive during a pre-recession wave? “The best way to recession-proof your business is to hire a business genie”, says Schimeon Frederick, president of My Business Genie based in Nevada. A virtual work partner fully focused on your business needs.

The US government recently passed the economic stimulus plan designed to keep the US economy from descending into a recession. Many questions remain for small business owners, as well as, what will this package do for my business? How will it keep me afloat?

According to the Small Business Report produced by Market Watch, a February 25, 2008 article entitled, Stimulating Effect, Maybe, Maybe Not, written by Andrea Coombes; “Almost 60% of those surveyed said the stimulus package will not have a significant affect on their business.” Most small business owners expect things to get worse before they get better — and doubt the new economic stimulus package, will do much for their bottom line. This same feeling is echoed by small business owners located throughout the country.

Two suggestions to stimulate income and fight this swarming recession are

(1) Utilize Internet-based technology

(2) Outsource responsibilities to a can-do everything Business Genie

Business Genies are independent workers providing long-term, collaborative, professional business services for clients. Genies use the most advanced means of communication, and the newest and most efficient and time saving office products and work delivery, regardless of geographic boundaries. The problem of not finding enough hours in the day are eliminated because Genies work 24 hours a day, 7 days per week in any situation.

Business Genies are contracted as an independent contractor delegated to a specific business. As a result, the client is not charged for downtime, breaks, lunch, leaving the office when emergencies occur, etc.

The list of benefits associated with hiring a business genie is extensive. For example:

  • Elimination of costs related to providing employee benefits and paying taxes, purchasing furniture and equipment, and training opportunities.
  • Gaining additional time to focus on income-generating activities instead of time consuming administration worries and other duties.
  • Paying only for time on tasks and compensation is based solely on the contractual relationship.
  • Time to concentrate on responsibilities that fuel their passion.
  • Development of a partnering relationship with an innovative team that will provide fresh insight into projects; an extra pair of hands or an expert in a designated field.

It’s clear that small business owners can combat a recession and experience significant savings of both in time and money by hiring a business genie. To business owners who are hesitant in hiring a Genie because of cost or location, look at the cost savings of an independent contractor versus full, part-time or temporary staff. Business owners will find cost effective savings in all areas and immediately reap the rewards.

Fire your Assistant and get a Genie

Is paperwork preventing you from developing your business? Are you wishing that you had a little more time to spend on performing the things that got you stimulated in the first place? How about decreasing your overhead costs and increasing your profits? Constructing a business can turn into a very tiring treadmill if you are careless. The more business you perform, the more executive duties you have, the more time you use up on executive duties, the less time you have to concentrate on making new profit.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you had someone that was always ready to perform work for you, around the clock but without all the expenses?

Gone is the Virtual Assistant because everyone wants a Business Genie. The do anything, can-do everything Genie. The business genie provides sensible solutions for businesses and the perfect way to manage your office. Enjoy the flexibility of working with your own genie and capitalize on the services offered without having to pay regular wages and other fringe benefits, besides saving on rentals and transport of staff.

Virtual Assistants are self employed individuals who perform administrative tasks. Their expertise is limited, typically focusing on typing, data entry and bookkeeping. Businesses require much more today and why should you search high and low when you can access one place for all your needs. A Genie provides a wide range of services in all areas.

A Genie is offering more than a few advantages over a paid worker. When you hire them you get every benefit of outsourcing, no health or dental benefit issues; no taxes for employees or worker’s compensation. Temps are a fleeting solution, and they can cost more. With temp staff, you still cover overhead costs.

Let’s face it, full time employees also come with issues. Not only that you should provide tools and furniture for them, you have financial responsibilities, and worker liabilities. It is probable that the real costs of a worker is more than double and sometimes triple the amount of their annual pay in terms of liabilities and benefits.

Genies are already trained in all fields, and they can quietly manage your business life. Your Genie goes beyond administrative support. Your business genie is proficient in all business genres and a cost effective means of doing business. Every facet of your business can be managed by your genie in a cost effective manner.

So how can you find a business Genie? My Business Genie provides proficient workers for all your needs. Find out why your project really does not need physical proximity and the benefits that await you.
